How To Walk and Work in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Part IV

How To Walk and Work in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Part IV

We should by now have an understanding of our worth to God. Having learnt that we are "Fearfully and wonderfully made" in the image of the living God, we have been given by him a gift and a purpose. To Glorify His holy name and know Him to make Him known through our very witness. His Holy Spirit dwells within and he will never leave us or forsake us.

Our point of view of ourselves is the driving force behind whether or not we can stand against the guiles of the enemy. Why? Because that is what he will use against us to make us fail our walk with the Lord. So lets continue to look into the great and fantastic gift that we have been given as a completion of Christ work in us.

"I don't fell the anointing"

1 John 2:27 (New King James Version)
27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will[a] abide in Him.

People often are mistaken to think that they will walk around on fire and soaked in the anointing all the time. And some may very well do so, but most often not. We see here that we have received the anointing and it abides within, so therefore we must constantly nurture it's tree to see the fruits of it in our life.

1 Samuel 16:14 (New King James Version)

A Distressing Spirit Troubles Saul

14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and a distressing spirit from the LORD troubled him.

Saul was anointed by the Lord to rule the people of Israel as a servant of God. Saul however abused his privilege and prayed the ultimate price for disobedience. He did not constantly nurture his gift but rather abused it.

Hebrews 13:5 (New King James Version)
5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”[a]

Be content in the gift that you have been given. If you are unable to speak in tongues right away, pray harder and seek instruction from scripture. This goes for all the gifts of the Spirit, prayer is the key as is the word of God.

Acts 2:4

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 2:41

41 Then those who gladly[a] received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

Acts 3:8 (New King James Version)
8 So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God.

Acts 4:29 (New King James Version)
29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word,

Acts 4:31 (New King James Version)
31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

Do not be disheartened and say but such in such can and she always does, but be humble before the Lord and pray for more of Him. Picture the Holy Spirit as a huge Battery Pack with in you. The more you charge that battery by using it correctly, if you however leave it and use it rarely it losses it's charge. Prayer is your charger, go about practicing your gifts with faith. And also once you have gone about using your gift, pray and recharge the battery. Power used in good works...battery needs recharging!!! BE FILLED CONTINUALLY!!!

Q: How do we remain constantly filled?
A: Prayer, Prayer, Prayer.....
1 Corinthians 14:4 (New King James Version)
4 He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.

Jude 1:20 (New King James Version)

20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

Ephesians 5:18 (New King James Version)
18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,

You see when Jesus said "I will send another" He told us that we would have a councilor and a comforter that would take all our cares to God through Christ Jesus. You see the Holy Spirit knows our inner most needs and desires and can speak to the Lord in the language of Heaven. We are also told to "Worship in Spirit and in Truth". Why? So our needs can be heard on the level that it is perceived in Heaven...in the Spirit. Practice prayer in the tongues for the edification of the body and also for the building up of the Church through interpretations of tongues. Build one another as true servants of the Lord; fellowship is so important to the Body of Christ’s Spiritual growth. You will be amazed at what making these things habits in your life will do!!!!

The Attitude of the Heart.

John 14:12 (New King James Version)

12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

Matthew 11:11 (New King James Version)
11 “Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

We need to reconcile to what the word of God is saying here. Our purpose must be to align ourselves with the word of God and his purpose for our lives. We must be open to Him and available to do His work for the better of others and the Glory of Gods name. Our purpose of use of the gifts must be to set others free, whether from sickness, bondage, loneliness, it doesn't matter. We must ask the Lord, who is it that needs this message, healing, prophecy etc.

Luke 4:18

18 “ The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,[a]
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”[a]

The Holy Spirit is not for there to give you ministry; the Holy Spirit is there so that through you people can be released. Once your heart is there, what does God do, He exalts you.
You are here simply as a vessel of the Lord,. You get ready because once you perceive this in your Spirit, once you get this good and sure, the Holy Spirit will want to minister through you. So Pray This “Lord Take My Hands, My Mouth, My Feet Use Me As A Person That Can Minister To People Here”. Amen...Praise God.
Be prepared because God will get you ready to Work and walk in the Gifts and the Fruits of the Spirit...Practice, Practice, and Practice.

In conclusion here we will next go into more about hindrances and how to avoid and get them out of your mindset altogether. Peace and blessings.
