Just a closer walk with thee.......

I was reading through John 14 the other day and recieved some of the most powerful revelation I have ever recieved in the short time that I have been a Christian. And it almost leveled me to realise what I have been missing out on with my Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus.

You see I have been in the wrong frame of mind and in fact distancing myself from God and the Lord Jesus seeking a relationship with Him. Looking for what I had to do and how I was to obtain a greater intimacy. If I only could work it out I would do just that. I have been going from place to place, looking for the answer. This book and that book, from one Christian site to another, seeking the revelation of how to get closer to God.

I put it this way in our fellowship meeting yesterday in Church, "I have been chasing the chicken around the yard trying to catch it when the whole time the Lord has had it ready to come out of the oven for me since the day He came into my heart".

You see we have a relationship with our Lord the day we say yes to Him...there is no more we have to do except for Love Him as He Loves us. There isn't a special way He likes to be introduced in prayer as long as it is heart felt. There is no ceramony that has to be preformed to bring His presence, just Love Him.

You see I have been making all the right moves to keep myself busy looking for Him but in truth He was there looking at me wondering when I was going to slow down enough to see Him right before my own eyes. God wants us to know He is there with us at all times...when we are in the deepest of our despire or the highest of our joy. Right beside us and ready to recieve us with open arms. I now know I have a relationship with the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit. I always have, you know when the lights go on it is such a beautiful place to be, especially when you can see the Lord before you and leave everything else behind you. Praise God!!

I would like to post a specific scipture for you to read from John 14 but the whole chapter is that powerful I will ask you to take some quite time and spend it with God and His Holy word. The promise of a greater life is there for the taking. Spend to time to take it.

Peace and Blessings.
