How to Walk and Work in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Part I

How to Walk and Work in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Part I

You see God has never really ever want us to wonder what we are doing here, it was and still is His very real desire that we know fully who we are and why we are! How do we find this out, well it takes a certain amount of commitment to finding the way to start with. The Holy Spirit has been given to us for this very reason, to help us find our way. So that through knowing the Holy Spirit within, we can work out what is supposed to be going on around us and in our lives. I don't claim to be a Great mind of the Theology or a great scholar, but I do know God wants me to write these notes down and share them with as many people as possible. So here we go, may the Holy Spirit be with us all on this journey we are about partake in. Praise God. Amen.

Understanding the Anointing.
Exodus 30:25 (New King James Version)
25 And you shall make from these a holy anointing oil, an ointment compounded according to the art of the perfumer. It shall be a holy anointing oil.

Exodus 30:30 (New King James Version)
30 And you shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister to Me as priests.

We have to understand what is our anointing and what is the anointing. How we are anointed and why. Anointing means to apply oil to or to pour oil upon, etc., as a sacred rite, especially for consecration. So when we had been anointed by God we are in fact being made Holy to him. With that said there is somethiong in that for us to take on bord. Not only has he said that we are forgiven our sins, God has also said except me and you are made Holy by Me. That is a fantastic promise and I certainly am over joyed at the thought of that.

1 Kings 1:39 (New King James Version)
39 Then Zadok the priest took a horn of oil from the tabernacle and anointed Solomon. And they blew the horn, and all the people said, "Long live King Solomon!"

1 Samuel 16:13 (New King James Version)
13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah.

The anointing is the bringing of the Holy Spirit upon us. Gods word is the cleansing/washing of of our mind sets, a setting free of all the junk and rubbish the word wants to dump on us about ourselves. It changes our perception of ourselves to Gods world view and His view of us. But it still only allows the presence of the Holy Spirit within us there is work that has to be done for the Holy Spirit to realise his fullness upon us. We must be careful to perceive and discern between the presences and the power of the Holy Spirit. We want to know how to use the power of the Holy Spirit to drive our walk in God.

Acts 10:38 (New King James Version)
38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Gods Anointing is directly from Him to do His great work at the time it is called for. We must listen to the Spirit within and find when we are to use the anointing and to what purpose. This is only possible in one way and one way only, and that is to be in constant communication with the Lord in prayer. A daily dose so to speak of the Holy Spirit to keep us in tune with what God is saying to us through His Holy Spirit.

What is the Anointing for?
John 14:12 (New King James Version)
12 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
1 John 2:20 (New King James Version)
20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.[a]
Revelation 1:6 (New King James Version)
6 and has made us kings[a] and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

The anointing is to help us complete what is our commission, to drive us by the spirit with in. And also that we may realize the fullness of what we are to God....his Priestly Kings made to minister to His God and Father. This is why Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost, so that we wouldn't be left without the knowledge and power to complete Gods will for us. Glory!!!

1 Peter 2:9 (New King James Version)
9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
Matthew 11:11 (New King James Version)
11 "Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

This is how God sees us in His eyes. How special we are to Him who loves us. Separated from the darkness of this very present world. Brought out by the Love and Blood of His Son Christ Jesus. We have been excepted as the joint heirs to the Kingdom of God and we shou8ld always remember that He buoght us at the highest price.

1 Samuel 9:16 (New King James Version)
16 "Tomorrow about this time I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him commander over My people Israel, that he may save My people from the hand of the Philistines; for I have looked upon My people, because their cry has come to Me."
1 Samuel 16:6-7 (New King James Version)
6 So it was, when they came, that he looked at Eliab and said, "Surely the LORD's anointed is before Him!"
7 But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees;[a] for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

God sees us and He anoints us, He doesn't look at our stature or our worldly appearance, He sees the person within and recognizes those that are his anointed by there hearts. This is also a firm reason for constant communion with the Lord. In our prayer we can condition our hearts to show His love and therefore He in us and us in Him. Because God is love and He gives it freely to us, we have to want to have it fully.

Anointing Power!
Mark 16:15 (New King James Version)
15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

The preaching of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is one of, if not the greatest Gift given us by the Holy Spirit. We can not preach with power and conviction unless we do it with the Holy Spirit Power. And it is not that every one of us will stand at a pulpit and speak to great congregations, but those that we have personal influence over in our everyday lives. They are the ones the Lord wants us to reach just as much as the greater population. It is a simple word of love planted in someones heart that may very well be the word that brings them out of something that had them bound up inside. This is why when wwe pray we must ask for His wisdom and knowledge, by this God can give us the information needed to set His people free.

This is the conclusion to Part 1. Part 2 will continue where we have left off here, speaking of the anointing Power and will carry on further into the levels of that Power.
