How To Walk and Work in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Part V

How To Walk and Work in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Part V

The Greatest problem we have moving in the gifts is fear - Too scared to step out in faith. I ask that the Holy Spirit show us the way to receive the fullness of the Gifts of the Spirit in Jesus’ Holy name. Amen.

Why Scared?
We can often fell inadequate, unworthy of performing acts of healing or prophecy. As I wrote earlier, we can be our own greatest hindrance. Self condemnation is satans greatest tool against the Church as a whole. If the body feels in adequate it is often sick from within.

But when we listen to what the Lord has told us and we close off to what the enemy has, fear goes and you can hear from God more easily.
- You’re not listening to yourself.
- You're not listening to the devil.

When we listen to the Lord, he will point out to us what has to be said or who needs healing or who needs prayer. He will never say it is for us, if we need something he will send someone for us.
Our hearts have to be right before Him. If your heart is right fear cannot prevail; you will hear clearly from God and the ministry will flow.

You can see how the devil has messed us up thinking it is our ministry instead of focusing on the heart of the very thing and that is releasing people from their burdens.
1 Corinthians 12:7 (New King James Version)
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:

Fear can come through our lack of understanding!

1 Corinthians 12:31 (New King James Version)
31 But earnestly desire the best[a] gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.

- What is it that we desire? Are we seeking whole heartedly the greater things in God or just the mediocre lesser things? If we desire money riches and fame and forget that our ministry is healing prophecy and apostleship we may well find ourselves cold and empty with no gifts to share or show.

1 Corinthians 13:1-4 (New King James Version)
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;

All that we do must be done in Love. God is Love and Love made perfect. The Apostle Paul is very specific that we could be the great preacher the most power healer, Move Mountains with faith. But if we lack Love in what we do then they are empty works.

2 Timothy 1:6-7 (New King James Version)
6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

We must fan the spirit within. Knowing what is the full intent of the Holy Spirit within. With Power, Love and a Sound mind these more excellent ways shall draw out the gift and cast out fear.

So we can see that fear is not a part of our Walk with God. His love will conquer all and is what we need to be able to do His work completely. Next we will go into depths of what are the Gifts of the Spirit.
